Tips and Tricks for Your HVAC System
In this video, you will be trained by a professional HVAC technician and local HVAC companies about the process of maintaining your HVAC system. As a DIYer, you know that your HVAC system not only controls the heating and cooling of air in a place but also controls the air quality. This maintenance process is therefore critical for homeowners to do.
To start the maintenance process, inspect the heat pump of the HVAC. This is what provides heating and air conditioning throughout the summer. Using a torchlight, check the pump for dirt buildup inside the furnace. You will also need to inspect the coils for dust buildup, oil stains, and rust. The HVAC technician advised to also check for oil stains or leaks at the mechanical connection points with flares. The next thing to inspect is the drain pan, which is a white plastic bin. Check to see if it has debris like rust, pieces of metal, or gum from hard water accumulated over several seasons.
