A Look At Paper Consumption In The United States And Throughout The World

For many people both in the United States and outside of it, paper is hugely important indeed. After all, paper is sold in many different varieties, from wholesale envelopes to wholesale cardstock paper to even specialty paper such as white shimmer paper. If you’re looking for a very specific type of paper, it is quite likely that you will be able to find it with relative ease. Paper like wholesale envelopes and bulk paper has become truly more available than ever before.

The data that has been gathered on the subject of paper consumption more than backs this up, at least when it comes to paper consumption here in the United States. In fact, up to 92 million metric tons of paper are produced in this one country alone, let alone throughout the rest of the world as we know it. And paper production and consumption in the United States has long been on the rise – and is likely to only continue to grow in the years that are to come. After all, there is even more data to, again, support this claim quite fully.

In fact, up to four trillion sheets of paper, including wholesale envelopes and bulk paper supplies and the like, are used each and every year in the United States. And this is far from a stagnant number, as overall paper consumption in this one country alone is likely to increase by as much as 22% from year to year – a truly impressive amount by just about any standards. And since the year of 1995, now more than 20 full years in the past, the total output of paper and paper products in this country has also grown in quite the significant way. By the time that we reach the year of 2020, which is now less than one full year away, this output will have increased by more than 75% (around 77%, to be just a little bit more exact) since that year of 1995 in the not so distance past.

But who, exactly, is using all of these paper products, from normal sheets of paper to wholesale envelopes, which are often bought in bulk? For one thing, everyday people still use paper products quite frequently, even with the rise of technology and its ever growing ease of use. Wholesale envelopes might come in handy, for example, for mailing various invitations, from wedding to baby shower and more. Wholesale envelopes can also be used to mail out thank you notes, or even checks. The opportunities are quite limitless indeed.

But it is primarily office workers who are using paper products such as wholesale envelopes and more. In fact, just one office worker in the United States is actually likely to go through as many as 10,000 sheets of paper over the course of just one year. The nature of much office work simply demands that paper be used. And when paper filing systems are in place, even more paper will likely be used than ever.

This is due to the fact that paper documents can become lost or even just misplaced for a considerable period of time when paper filing systems are actively being used. This, of course, will necessitate more paper being used than what would have otherwise been necessary. According to current date, nearly 8% of all documents get lost, and another 15% or so of all paper documents stored using these paper filing systems will end up misplaced, sometimes for a great deal of time.

Fortunately, using paper products like wholesale envelopes has become more environmentally friendly than ever, so that we can continue to use various types of paper with a clear conscience. For instance, recent research has even found that up to one third of all new paper created here in the United States will use some form of recycled fiber in its creation. This has become possible largely due to the fact that people are also more aware of the importance of recycling itself, and are partaking in it more frequently than ever before. This allows for the creation of eco friendly paper products, including that of your typical wholesale envelopes.
